Additional Benefits for Farriers-and-Owners

Well Behaved Horse

What all farriers-and-owners have in common is their concern for the condition of their horses’ feet. The owner's goal is to make sure that their feet are in good condition and the farrier's goal is to get them that way and to keep them that way. It's important therefore to know how to overcome the obstacles presented by a horse that is unruly whenever someone attempts to handle its feet. Such 'know how', as well as enabling both farriers-and-owners to achieve their goals, will bring additional practical and monetary benefits. This is what farriers-and-owners can expect to gain from my book No Feet No Horse.

If you are The Horse Owner:

*It will explain to you the easy but necessary fundamentals of basic horse training, which will reinforce the attentiveness and discipline needed in your horse for all more advanced training.

*It will explain to you how to do more advanced training in the form of correcting bad behavior problems that occur when a horse is having its feet worked on.

*It will result in your having a horse that farriers are happy to shoe, and will end your having a difficult time finding a regular farrier.

*It will put an end to additional expenses needed to pay a farrier for handling unruly behavior: and --

*Most satisfying of all, it will add to the knowledge and achievement that will help you to be regarded as a competent horseman or woman in the world of horsemanship.

If you are the Farrier:

*It will give you the tools with which, if you desire, you will be able to correct unruly behavior.

*It will enable you to retain a customer, rather than avoid returning, or referring that customer to another farrier whom you think might be able to handle his/her horse.

*It will give you the option of contracting with a customer to train their horse to make it acceptable to shoe. This will provide you with another source of income, namely the training, and secure another customer for shoeing. - and finally -

*If you yourself are not interested in doing corrective training, it will provide you with a meaningful alternative to offer your prospective customers. When they ask you how they can solve the problem they have with a misbehaving horse, you can provide them with a copy of my book, either by having a copy available that they can purchase or by giving a copy to them for free. Giving them a copy would go a long way towards establishing them as a regular customer once their horse has been properly trained to stand well. And it will add to your reputation as a knowledgeable farrier who is prepared to be helpful. Open Range Mustangs

As a retired horse shoer, I can't say enough about how important a tool I believe my corrective-behavior training manual to be for farriers. I heartily recommend that it be included it among a shoer's set of tools. For information on how to purchase it, check here: No Feet No Horse
